VIDEO: How To Evaluate An App Idea

Apps, Beers & Disruption

Why? Because the most disruptive ideas are always conceived over a beer with mates. (Or a wine, or an orange juice, whatever floats your boat)

What I’m trying to say is, all great app ideas are ‘realised’ when people are in a social conversation. It’s when they discover that there’s a ‘problem’ that needs to be solved. Usually when they’re experiencing the problem themselves.

Nearly every ‘appreneur’ I speak to says this: “Last week, I was having a few drinks with my friends and we came up with this awesome idea…”

So Dan Portelli and I have put together this weekly show inspired by you guys, talking all things mobile apps, startups and entrepreneurship.

We wanted to share with you our knowledge and passion for building mobile products. And with the recent launch of the Apple Watch there’s no better time to talk about ‘disruption.’

If there’s anything you want us to talk about, please comment below, we’d love to cover your question in one of our shows!

Ladies and Gentleman, this is Episode 1: How To Evaluate An App Idea

What we discuss, is a framework for successfully evaluating an app idea. Answering the question, is my app idea actually any good?

I wish we could take full credit for it…but we can’t.

This is a system that we’ve borrowed and tweaked from researching some of the world most successful tech startups. And we’ve broken it down into 5 easy steps.

You can read about them in more detail in this blog post.

Please remember to subscribe and leave your comments below, we’d really appreciate your feedback.

Enjoy!
